Meeting new 'Toos

These are three of the beautiful cockatoos I met yesterday at Flying Colors Aviary on Whidbey Island in Washington State. We are working to help rehome a small number of parrots that are currently living there, but would be better suited to living in a private home with people.

There are 3-4 Major Mitchells in the largest aviary and they were really funny because they kept gathering around my feet. I almost stepped on one. And the Galahs have a very strange habit of all standing on the doorknobs of the interior small aviaries that surround the perimeter of the large open space.
